We climb the stairs to the Inn, but our way is blocked by a robed man wielding a quarterstaff.

As we continue along the road I decide to try and get to know our new companions.

It is time. I go to see my father at the Central Keep. He carries little with him for the journey – just his quarterstaff and a pack with some food.

As I enter the Inner Grounds I’m approached by Imoen. She’s an errand girl at the Keep, and a ward of Winthrop.

I head towards the main gate to find Fuller and ask about Dreppin’s antidote. On my way I bump into Jondalar, a combat trainer here in the Keep.

I have been meaning to summon a familiar for some time now. It feels right to do it now. One more thing to prepare for father’s journey.
Roasting potatoes is one of my favourite ways to cook them. Crispy and soft at the same time, lots of flavour and filling. They seem like they should be hard to cook, but they are actually ridiculously easy.
Okay, we’re not actually going to make shepherd’s pie today. I’m in lockdown and running out of veggies so I’m gonna make do with what I’ve got. However, we can still focus on how to do the potato part.

Today is an unusual day. My father has uncharacteristically interrupted my chores. He told me I needed to prepare for a journey: we are leaving Candlekeep. I have mixed feelings about this.
On the one hand I have never seen outside these walls.
