The Ridge family has now survived over two weeks in their harsh, post-apocalyptic world. Though they’ve largely solved their water crisis, food poisoning continues to plague the shelter. Their lives may be marginally more stable, but comfort remains a distant dream.
Video Games
I do this for a living and for fun.
An Angry One-Handed Dwarf
On their way back to the Cloakwood, the Troupe passes through Beregost, where they visit an old friend: Breagar, the cantankerous dwarf who once frequented Candlekeep. But what begins as a reunion ends in tragedy.
Sheltered: Waiting for Rain
After traumatising my first family, first with the death of their cat, and finally with the death of the father, I set out to survive with a new family. This time I would remember to feed the pet, and keep an eye on our food and water supplies.
A Bar Crawl Around Beregost
On the road back to Cloakwood, the Troupe detours through Beregost, a town unchanged on the surface, but with a current of weariness and waiting. None of them expected the night to end in blood and broken magic.
How Long Can You Survive?
Most post-apocalyptic games thrust you into an open wasteland with guns and mutants. Sheltered traps you in a claustrophobic bunker with your family, and lets the slow decay of survival grind you down.
Journey Back To The North
Aegon’s first raid of the Iron Throne’s mines in the Cloakwood failed, and many of his friends had to be resurrected. Having gathered a new party, he now returns to attempt another assault, and to find Vienxay’s former master so she can have her revenge.
Paradoxes of Deponia Doomsday
From Daedelic Entertainment comes the fourth installation in the Deponia game series. The game follows Rufus on his latest adventure, where he uses time travel in an attempt to create a better ending.
You Must Gather Your Party
Though the Troupe cut down the Blacktalons guarding the Iron Throne’s mine, only half of them made it out alive. Beaten, weary, and half-dead in more ways than one, they retreat to the Temple of Wisdom in the Friendly Arm to raise the fallen.
Wasteland 2: Director’s Cut
Wasteland 2 opens with a funeral, and I’m already mourning the hours I’m about to lose to this massive, brutal world. This one’s going to take a while to complete, so here are my initial impressions of what, so far, looks to be a very fun game.
Bok’s Banging Butterflies Showcase
A short while ago, a Youtuber called Lord Cat II offered to do a mod showcase for Bok’s Banging Butterflies. I love the result, and I especially like seeing someone enjoying the work I’ve put into this creation.
