This week’s release adds a method of pacifying Peacemaker Butterflies. They won’t fight for you, but at the least they will leave you alone as you explore the world. Now you can create alien apiaries that are safe for you to walk through.
Peacemaker Butterfly Honey
If you are under assault by Peacemaker Butterflies, there is now a way to pacify them. If you hold a bottle of this sticky “honey” in your hand, they will cease their attacks and follow you around in an attempt to obtain the honey.
If you choose to feed the honey to one of them, that Butterfly may consider you a friend from that point on, ceasing to attack you from that point forward. But you should be wary; if another player manages to befriend them, they will once again attack you as they did before.
Currently Peacemaker Honey can only be obtained in Creative Mode. A way to obtain the Peacemaker Butterfly’s favourite food will be coming to Bok’s Banging Butterflies soon, so watch this space!
Always More Bugs
In porting this feature to all versions I noticed a couple of bugs with the Peacemaker Butterflies in older versions of Minecraft. Rest assured, these will be the next things I work on as I aim to maintain parity between each version of the mod.
