DC’s Lanterns TV series is finally over, and there was barely a construct to be seen in the show. But what it lacks in superpowers, it replaces with great writing, entertaining performances, and a well-executed origin story for DC’s Green Lantern.

Columbo is the Antagonist
I’ve been watching a lot of Columbo lately, and I’ve noticed something about the way the stories are framed that make it interesting. Of course, I’m not the only person to notice, but I haven’t seen much discussion about it online.
Supergirl was Good, Actually
I’ve been anticipating the new Supergirl film since I first heard about it, and especially after watching Gunn’s amazing Superman film. I finally got to watch it in Hanoi last week. Short, spoiler-free review: It’s good fun, you should go watch it.
The Best Thing on the Internet
A while ago I watched what was probably the best thing I’ve ever seen on the Internet. And I’ve been browsing since the 80s. It’s a culmination of both pop culture and meme culture, creating something boring yet gripping, hilarious, and surprisingly creative.
The Bob Ross of Minecraft
I often like to watch Minecraft YouTubers. They often inspire me to play and build new things in my forever world. My building style has evolved based on different YouTubers, including Grian and Fwhip. But lately I’ve been watching someone who atually influences my play-style.
Lots of Setup and No Payoff
The Boys recently reached its final episode and it wasn’t well received. We were promised “scorched earth” and what we got barely singed the White House lawn. It’s symbolic of the main problem with the show, especially in later seasons. Lots of setup and no payoff.
