This week I decided to add a bit of variety to the Hummingbird Moth. There are actually multiple different species of Hummingbird Moth, and I wanted to represent this in the mod by adding a few different varieties.

It’s Pi Day, and to celebrate I thought I’d write a small article on Pi (π). While I’m not a mathematician or a physicist, π does still crop up in game development. So here’s a small example of how I use π to create great looking butterflies.

One night in Siem Reap I saw what I thought was a hummingbird buzzing around some flowers. I got close to it and it was a strange sight. It zipped from flower to flower, its wings humming like a small bird.
