The Peacemaker Cow is now fully implemented and can be spawned in Creative Mode. This mob is the source of the Peacemaker Butterfly’s food, helping to sustain them and their invasion of your Minecraft world. Thankfully, you have at least one more release before you’ll find them in your Survival worlds.
The Cow
I’ve been working on the Peacemaker Cow for a while. Up until now it’s been a mostly static creature that felt like a block. Since last week I’ve added idle animations, sounds, and reactions to being attacked which instantly make it seem alive.

The Peacemaker Cow also acts like a simple mob spawner, infrequently spawning Peacemaker Butterflies. These shouldn’t overwhelm players, but they should know to be cautious if there is a Peacemaker Cow in the area.
To top it off, the Cow has a new texture that makes it seem less cartoonish. So spawn these creatures in your world, milk them for Honey, or kill them to help fight against the invasion of these alien monsters!
The Lair
At the moment Peacemaker Cows will not spawn naturally. The next feature I want to work on is a lair for the Peacemaker Butterflies and Cows. These lairs will be found underground and will be home to a single Cow, a focal point for the invasion of the Butterflies. Players can find these, use the Cows as sources of Honey, and potentially pacify multiple Peacemaker Butterflies.
I’m heavy back into development now, so look out for next week’s release if you want to hunt these creatures down in your worlds.
A Successful Refactor
Last week I wrote about refactoring the registries so that the code would be much more maintainable. This week I’ve ported it to every version of the mod and it is included in the latest release. Although I work hard to test every change, it’s possible that this has introduced some bugs I may have missed so, as always, please open a ticket if you spot anything and I’ll try and fix it as soon as I possibly can.
