Okay, no, I didn’t actually go to prison. Yes, this is a clickbait title. But this quirky little café-bar just outside the centre of Vientiane is definitely worth a visit if you’re looking to add some unusual fun to your night out.

Darwin Kastle’s Cthulhu Realms
Ever wanted to build a deck of unspeakable horrors to shatter your opponent’s sanity? Cthulhu Realms lets you do just that. Based on the Cthulhu mythos, this tongue-in-cheek deck-building game challenges players to conjure sinister combos, manipulate minds, and adapt their strategy on the fly to drive opponents into madness.
A Butterfly Spawn Category
One problem that’s been around since the mod’s inception is that butterfly spawns take away from other animal spawns. That means fewer cows, sheep, rabbits, and so on in any Minecraft game with Bok’s Banging Butterflies installed. And as more butterfly species were added, the problem only got worse.
The Mummy (1999) Film Review
Despite mixed reviews upon release, The Mummy became a commercial hit in 1999. It kicked off a short-lived franchise and is now considered a cult classic.
No Other Way But Forwards
Aegon and the Troupe have discovered the Iron Throne’s Mine in the Cloakwood. Protected by a motte and bailey, they scout the surrounding area for and other ways of entry. However, it’s looking more likely they will have to assault the mine head on.
Nightlife on the Outskirts
While in Vientiane we wanted to explore the city’s nightlife. On this particular day we wandered toward the outskirts of the city, in search of the fabled Irish bar that many online had recommended.
Enemy Within the Long War
XCOM: Enemy Unknown reimagines the classic XCOM: UFO Defense for a modern audience, streamlining its mechanics into a faster, more cinematic experience. While a great game in its own right, it lacks the depth and detail that made the original so compelling. Long War aims to bring back that depth.
Porting to 1.21.4: Stage 4
In my porting adventure, I was almost there. I could load the game and create a new world. That didn’t mean that I was ready to release, however. Next came the laborious task of testing (almost) every feature in the mod to ensure that they still work.
Poems of Specific Lengths
I dabble in writing some silly poems sometimes, just for fun. Here are a couple of joke poems I’ve written over the years that I figured I would share for a laugh.
Motte and Bailey Fortress
Deep into the Cloakwood, Aegon and the Troupe are getting close to the Iron Throne’s mine. Accosted by Blacktalons and wyverns, the troupe now have to fight their way through, to find the mine. To find Tazok. To find Gorion’s murderer.
